When we first started developing our service, we decided to call it Zabei. We wanted to have a catchy, cool and provocative name, and “Zabei” matched with this. Zabei is a Russian youth word, which means “to reserve” (one of the meanings).
Then we thought that the bulk of our users are restaurant visitors, so we need a colloquial name for more virality of our future guest application.
But after the development process began, we shifted the focus from guests to restaurants and entered the global market.
Finally, we understood the app needs new international name. The name with new meanings inside itself. With benefits that brings the app now.
Therefore, we renamed the application to RoboHost.
We want to automate the host’s job as much as possible. This is our main mission, and now it will be reflected in the app name.
